Swedish full body massage is one of the most popular mainstream therapies and is offered at any reputable spa or beauty treatment clinic. Experience the art of Swedish Massage with our Intensive 6 day Course. Elevate your career with our in-depth professional Swedish massage training. This comprehensive course is designed for complete beginners, guiding you through the foundational techniques of this favourite therapy. Over the 5 days practical training you will learn the traditional Swedish Massage techniques for a full-body treatment, including front and back massage, with expert instruction on techniques for feet, head, face, and a relaxing clothed seated back massage. The 6th day will be your assessment once you have completed your practice sessions and case studies.

A £300 (non-refundable) deposit is payable immediately upon booking and the balance is due 14 days prior to your first practical training date. Payment plans are available for this course.

You will need to purchase your own products and equipment in order to carry out your case studies and practice your skills.

Time

Courses run over 5 days Saturday-Sunday over period of 2-3 months from 10.00 am-4.00 pm. Time is dependent on number of students. You will need to arrive at the training venue 10 minutes prior to the course start time.

Pre-requisites

An anatomy & physiology qualification is required, and your certificate must be emailed as proof at the time of enrolment.

A good standard of written and verbal English.

Minimum age 18.

Course format

Home study – 4 modules, which is a combination of assignments, knowledge tests and multiple choice.

5-days practical training sessions

Portfolio of evidence: 30 treatments as case studies to be completed (min of 20 hours in treatment time)

Practical assessment session which includes oral questioning

Approximate learning time for the entire course is +200 hours.

Course content

Health, safety and hygiene, client care and communications, anatomy and physiology and a massage routine. Training material is emailed to you.

Model required

Group training – no, students will work on each other.

One-to-one training – yes, you will be required to bring a model along to the practical training to practice your routine on. (We can always provide models if necessary).
